If you're going to try,
go all the way.

— CHARLES BUKOWSKI

Hi! I’m Grace, a designer and illustrator in the Greater Seattle area. I’ve been designing for several years. At my core, I’m a loyalist — if you need proof, look no further than my decades-long, unwavering support of the Seattle Mariners. My strong suits are effective communication, empathetic disposition, and positive attitude. According to the Strengths Finder test, I’m able to “spot the signs of each small improvement and derive satisfaction from evidence of progress.”

I’ve been with Amazon since 2020, working on consumer payment products. I started my career doing print and graphic design for a boutique hotel in Denver, Colorado. After that, I spent five years doing content and visual design at Bonanza, an online marketplace for small businesses. I've also had experience as a PR manager, copywriter, wedding planner, hiring manager, and barista. Working on large and small teams across many different industries has taught me to be flexible, think on my toes, and pay extreme attention to detail.

I’ve been described as a professional enthusiast and efficient perfectionist — I’m not someone who can be moderately invested in my work. I have a bias towards action and go all in when it comes to tackling complex solutions. I dedicate my entire self to my projects, I have a bias towards action, and I commit fully. Design should be intentional and practical, with a few elements that surprise or delight sprinkled in. Design lives in the heart of life; it’s both expressive and fundamental, both form and function. Good design makes you feel heard, understood, and seen — that’s something I strive to provide to users of any product I work on. I view design as a collaborative process, and I value the perspectives that diversity can bring.
